If you've put real hours into ARC Raiders, you already know aim isn't the whole story. Movement decides who gets to keep their gear and who becomes a quick highlight reel. I started paying attention once I'd lost one too many fights I "should've" won, and it changed how I looked at everything from peeks to retreats. Even your loadout choices matter more when you're moving clean, so I keep an eye on stuff like ARC Raiders Items while I'm dialing in routes and escape plans, not just when I'm shopping for upgrades.

Cancel That Roll Lag

The default dodge roll feels fine until you notice the tiny stand-up delay. That half-beat is where people delete you. There's a simple input that cuts most of that dead time: hold sprint and crouch as you hit the roll. You'll feel it straight away. Instead of that sluggish "recover" moment, you pop up ready to run or shoot. It's not magic, though. Mess up the timing and you'll still get the slow animation, so practice it in low-stakes fights until your fingers do it without thinking.

Stairs Are A Launchpad

Stairwells are chaos because the camera, the angles, and the audio are all lying to you. Here's the weird part: rolling backward down stairs can fling you farther than it has any right to. The momentum stacks and you end up sliding, bouncing, or straight-up sailing past where the enemy expects. It's great for breaking their tracking. One second they've got you lined up, next second you're behind them or you've blown past their screen and the fight resets on your terms.

Use I-Frames, Skip Auto-Mantle

Mines and traps don't always need bullets. The dodge has invincibility frames, and you can slip explosions if you don't panic. Let the mine pop up, wait until it hits the top of its arc, then dodge through right as it's about to go off. The window's tight, so don't try it in every hallway, but it's a lifesaver when shooting would give away your position. Another killer is auto-mantle. If you run into a ledge head-on, the game drags you into a slow climb with your gun useless. Turn your camera and jump backward onto the object instead; you'll often land on top without triggering the climbing animation.

Faster Ziplines, Cleaner Runs

Ziplines punish anyone who takes them casually. If you just press interact, you start slow and stay exposed longer than you should. Sprint and jump before you latch on, and that burst carries over so you're moving fast immediately. It sounds small, but that speed saves you when someone's watching the line or you're trying to beat a third party to an exit. And if you're the kind of player who'd rather spend time learning routes than grinding replacements, you can sort gear and restocks through U4GM so you're back in raids faster without the whole night turning into inventory recovery.
